MISTAKES OF THE YEAR:
- Driving into thigh-deep water.
- Being a pushover about leftover moldy tofu.
- Stress shopping.
- Stress eating.
- Starting to eat McDonalds.
- Stopped working out.
- Going back to McDonalds.
- Subscribing to Netflix (but P&R and Orange are so worth it).
But really, this year has been the best year of my life. I got to live out on my own for the first time and push myself out of my comfort zone. I tried living in the moment and came to appreciate everyday life so much more. I fell impeccably in love for the first time.
Okay, maybe not, but I learned more about it: love will always inspire to create. I think a lot of people don’t know they’re only thinking of themselves half the time. You can always choose to be happy. Happiness comes from you helping other people; happiness is the journey of becoming who you want to be. When you give pieces of yourself, you’ll naturally find yourself with more pieces than you started with.
I got to meet people who completely changed my life. They’re fearless in who they are and chase after their dreams. They uncovered parts of myself that I didn’t know existed. On the other hand, I also met a lot of people who were quick to assume and judge, but that experience only made me more understanding and sympathetic towards others. My family, I love with my heart and soul to the end of the galaxy and back. Thank you for supporting me and always thinking, worrying over me.
I feel blessed today to share my life with you, humble reader. Over the course of the past few weeks, these reflections and your comments have helped me become a kinder person. You put up with my corniness like no one else. I hope we will be able to maintain and make more connections as time goes on. Now is an exciting time to be alive.
