EDIT: This was originally two posts, now combined.
My hands are extremely dry. I have come to the conclusion that paint splattered hands are much better than normal, hygenic hands.
I’ve never been good with colors. So I decided to take a painting class this fall.
We aren’t really taught anything in class, but the TA’s suggestions/critiques are helpful. Everyone in the class has improved enormously, me included. Practice makes perfect! Someone should get a tattoo of that motto on their buttcheek.
Or just candy wrappers from Halloween and a cup (mm, that apple cider).
Our final project involves painting how “we perceive ourselves”… tigers, of course.
The work in progress that has a lot of problems. I underestimated how not tanned I am.
One inevitable thought when it comes to painting yourself: “Wow, I look like that?”
ONE WEEK LATER
You know how a few days ago, I said paint covered hands were better than regular hands? I was wrong.
Over the weekend I did a two day shoot for an upcoming video. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage my time well enough (overslept) and ended up rushing the rest of the painting. The orange tiger took me about 6 hours… I finished the whole painting in 4. By the time I was done, it was 1:30 in the morning and I just wanted to be back at home in my warm, comfy bed.
There’s still a lot of things wrong with my face. The nose really bothers me. Reminds me of Aladin– and I am not as cool as Aladin.
